Purpose | # Purpose of HCIM
Observing a person’s spontaneous breathing, including recording breathing frequency, depth and rhythm, is done to gain an indication of the health condition of the patient’s pulmonary system.
# Purpose of this profile
This profile defines the main building block for observing a patient's respiratory parameters, including spontaneous breathing and info about administered oxygen (via the extension zib-Respiration-AdministeredOxygen). It is complemented by the profiles zib-Respiration-AdministeredOxygen-MedicalDevice (DeviceUseStatement) and zib-Respiration-AdministeredOxygen-MedicalDeviceProduct (Device) to register the device used to administer extra oxygen. |
